GOING GREEN - All parishioners interested in utilization of the Direct Debit program, contact the Parish Office at 732-6261. This will help the environment and increase our Sunday offering. Thank you for participating.
Finance Council has suggested monthly envelopes effective July 1st for the Diocesan Catholic Courier that we all receive and for Catholic education. The Catholic Courier costs approximately $1800 month. We ask you to please use these envelopes to help us with these financial obligations. (The suggested donation for the Catholicv Courier is $24 per year or $2 each month.)
Communion to the Homebound/Nursing Homes: Fr. Scott is looking to update the list of those who bring communion to the homebound and/or nuring homes/assisted living residences; he is also looking to update the list of those to whom communion is brought. If you are a minister of communion who does that, please contact the Parish Office at 734-6261. He would like to visit the homebound on occasion and hopes to administer the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick at least once or twice a year.

CONFIRMATION 2010: Registration for all those who wish to make the sacrament of Confirmation this fall will be conducted as follows: Please pick up a registration form at any of our three worship sites beginning August 14. Simply fill out the registration form completely and mail it to the Parish Office (304 Demarest Pkwy, Elmira 14905) or drop it off along with an official copy of your child's baptismal certificate from their Church of baptism (if they were not baptized at one of our cluster Churches or if they have not made any other sacraments here) and the $25.00 materials fee. All mailing must be received prior to Septmeber 10. Classes begin September 12! NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. So please mark your calendars now! Once you have registered, you will receive by mail all of the pertinent information you need about this sacrament. Classes will be held on Sunday evenings beginning September 12. Candidates are required to attend these sessions along with at least one parent and their sponsor if possible. (A calendar will be sent to you.) The ceremony will be held November 1st at St. Patrick's Church. Bishop Matthew Clark will preside. We recommend that due to the type of program we use, that Confirmation candidates be in 8th grade or higher. If you have any questions or if the cost of the Confirmation materials is prohibitive, please call Lisa Rustici at 734-0727. Thank you!

CYO Registration Forms for Girl's in Grades 5-8 are located at the main entrance of each Church. Fill out the form and return it to the Parish Office or to the address provided on the form. Deadline for sign-ups is August 24.

Funeral Luncheons - Fr. Scott would like to form a small committee to coordinate funeral luncheons - rather than have one person in charge of every funeral, he would like parishioners to share the coordination duties. If you might be interested and God is nudging you to share your giftedness (some organizational skills would be appreciated), call the Parish Office at 732-6261. Fr. Scott will have a meeting after Labor Day with those interested.

One of our ministries here is to offer a lunch for a family after the funeral of a loved one. We are in the process of updating our files and wish to form one committee for CTR parish. We need people to set up the food stations (not tables and chairs), serve the food and clean up after wards. We also need people willing to donate foor to serve. The Health Department prohibits preparing food off site and bringing it in, so to conform to their regulations we have made a very simple menu. You would be asked to donate fruit, salad, rolld, etc. ALL EASY -nothing to prepare - just have to buy it and drop if off where you are asked to. This is a very rewarding ministry and we could use your help!!! Please call the office with your name, phone number, address if you are interested in helping with this ministry at 732-6261. We also need to know if you are interested in donating foor, setting up, serving and clean up. Thank you.
